Sustainability
Making All the Right Moves
by

Your on-line business will thrive and
endure if you design, build and operate it with sustainability
foremost in your mind.
Review
your business plan often and pay attention to even the least
significant details because, the simple fact is, sustainability
for your business depends on you making all the right moves.
Astute
Internet entrepreneurs know there are no shortcuts to success.
They know that it takes hard work, meticulous attention to detail
and decisive actions to build a business that is both viable
in the short term and sustainable over the long term. They know
that unless they maintain a high standard of business ethics
by providing quality and value in the products or services they
sell, they stand little chance of realizing their dreams of
financial independence.
This
is not to say that your on-line business necessarily need be
labor intensive. Numerous kinds of software are designed to
automate various aspects of your business. Autoresponders are
helpful when properly used, as are bookkeeping, word processing
and database software applications. However, you must not rely
solely on automation to run your day-to-day business operations.
Automation can't make business decisions for you. Only you can
decide what your business needs to thrive and survive.
By
monitoring and analyzing your business Web site statistics daily,
you can measure the effectiveness of your advertising, promotion
and marketing strategies, determine the sources of traffic arriving
at your Web site, find out who your customers are and stay abreast
of the latest business trends. You need all of this information,
and more, to make your business sustainable.
