Rage
by
Jonathan Kellerman
When psychologist Alex Delaware gets a telephone call from a
young man who's just been released from prison, he's compelled
to revisit an 8-year old case in which toddler Kristal Malley
was brutally murdered. He agrees to meet with the caller, Rand
Duchay, but Rand doesn't show. A short time later, Rand, one
of Kristal's convicted killers, is found brutally murdered.
Is
it coincidence? Is it revenge? Or is it something more sinister?
Alex joins his friend, LAPD homicide detective Milo Sturgis,
in reinvestigating Kristal Malley's murder even as they investigate
more recent murders that seem intended to cover up the original
crime.
The
rage of those who would identify and stop a psychopathic killer
is no less intense than the killer's rage to escape detection.
At some point, the paths of prey and predator will convergewith
stunning results.
Rage,
a cleverly contrived whodunit, rages toward an unconventional,
but strangely satisfying, conclusion. Once readers start turning
pages, they'll be reluctant to stop.
A
real-life clinical psychologist, Jonathan Kellerman is the author
of the popular Alex Delaware novels and other works of fiction,
including The
Conspiracy Club, Twisted,
Therapy,
The
Murder Book and The
Clinic. He's also written numerous articles, essays
and short stories, three psychology volumes and two children's
books. Kellerman, father of four, is married to novelist Faye
Kellerman. He lives in California.
