Blood
Orchid
by
Stuart Woods
Holly Barker is Chief of Police of Orchid Beach, Florida, a
placid, off-the-beaten-path little town that easily escapes
the attention of tourists. But when two property developers
are assassinated and a third narrowly escapes a hit shortly
before the bidding on a lucrative piece of property is due to
commence, Holly soon finds herself teamed with an undercover
FBI agent to investigate those crimes and subsequent related
murders.
Holly's
relentless pursuit of the evildoers places her life in jeopardy
and her body directly in the line of fire. Danger mounts as
she untangles the mystery and uncovers a criminal conspiracy
much bigger and more complex than anything she could possibly
imagine.
Blood
Orchid is a fast-paced thriller, one of those "page
turner" kinds of books that, once you start reading, you
don't know when to put it down. Hint: When you get to the end
of the last page, it's time to put the book down.
Depending
on the season, Stuart Woods lives in Florida, New York City
or Maine. An avid pilot, sailor and prolific author, he has
more than 30 books to his credit, including the Holly Barker
novels Orchid
Beach and Orchid
Blues, which preceded Blood
Orchid.
